Reproductive Health and Fertility Preservation
Further discussions may cover oncofertility programmes, oocyte, embryo, and ovarian tissue cryopreservation, and ovarian transposition before pelvic radiotherapy. Presentations will examine the timing of retrieval before chemotherapy, the use of GnRH agonists for ovarian protection, and the evidence on pregnancy outcomes after treatment. Researchers will consider preimplantation genetic testing in carriers, assisted reproduction options, and pathways for adoption or surrogacy where legally permitted. Cost, insurance coverage, and equitable access to fertility services will also be addressed. Attention will be given to decision aids, documentation of counselling, and assent for adolescent patients. Psychological support, partner involvement, and long-term reproductive follow-up will be emphasised, alongside the management of early menopause and hormone replacement after cancer.
