Immunotherapy and Emerging Cancer Therapies
Further sessions may explore checkpoint inhibition in cervical and endometrial cancer, tumour-infiltrating lymphocyte therapy, CAR-T and bispecific antibodies, and oncolytic viruses under investigation for solid tumours. Presentations will examine neoantigen and therapeutic HPV vaccines, adoptive cell transfer, and microbiome-based strategies that shape treatment response. Researchers will discuss predictive biomarkers such as mismatch repair status and PD-L1 expression, alongside mechanisms of primary and acquired resistance. Attention will be given to immune-related adverse events affecting the bowel, thyroid, lungs, and heart, and to the safe use of steroids and immunosuppression. Trial designs including basket, umbrella, and platform studies will be reviewed. Cost, access, and long-term safety monitoring will also be emphasised.
